Not one of my faves (or rather, not two of my faves), but I was always weirdly fond of that cheesy refrain in Saint. Maybe it just grew on me, like LLR. (At least the instrumental part of LLR.)

And now that I read the "mishearing" of it by a forumite's little nephew, "Sure don't know what I'm goin for, But I'm gonna go for the hippo show ..." Well, I'll certainly enjoy it all the more. Who wouldn't go for the hippo show?

He also called Elton John Meltin' John, and doberman pinschers doublemint pinchers. He was one smart and funny kid (still is), and,no,there was no hearing problem, he was just playing "telephone" with pretty much the entire English language at the age.

Yes. That Hippo-show post was priceless. I forgot to comment.

Hippo Friday to all of you.

Who indeed, Althea?

Still, I've always found it interesting that the hippo, one of the most caricatured of the big beasts, is actually one of the most dangerous, accounting for 200 plus deaths per year. Not making a big point, just shooting the breeze!

Hmmm. We don't know this particular nephew, so we don't know the hippo show he had in mind. Perhaps he's the kind of kid who likes to play violent video games. Lots of blood and hippos.

If someone could photoshop Bob into the picture, it would be perfect.

Here's a pain in the butt question - could you have a BW & JG hippo team ? It's already too much , lets push it over the edge . The BW is spot on , btw .
